A three-year-old little boy in the doctor’s office tearfully asked why Mommy and Daddy let the doctor give him a painful shot.
The parents have the big picture of their son’s health and well-being that his little heart cannot yet grasp. Although the little boy may be confused momentarily, he knows deep inside that Mommy and Daddy still love him.
That’s what it’s like when our questions to God go unanswered.
God sees the whole picture of His plan and purpose for our lives when our hearts don’t yet have the capacity to understand the answers.
Unanswered questions do not negate God or His love, however.
So don’t let them become barriers to trusting Him.
Instead, rest in what you know to be true deep inside: your Heavenly Father sees the big picture of what is best for you, and He still loves you very much.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9
