When I can’t sleep, I spend that time in prayer and think of worship songs.
On one such occasion recently, I was thinking of an older Michael W. Smith song where he lists several names of God in Scripture. When I got to Alpha and Omega, the Lord stopped me.
He put a vision in my mind of an early morning. He told me to look to the left, where I saw the moon still in the sky from the reflection of the sun on the right, which was starting the new day.
He said to me, “I see the end from the beginning.”
In those few words, He said much to me.
We all have difficulties in our lives, whether it be financial, relational, emotional, physical or even spiritual where we want to know how things will turn out. We want to know what tomorrow will bring. We get anxious, we worry, we fret.
In those moments is when we need Matthew 11:28: "Come unto me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
At this moment, I am in the middle of chemotherapy treatments, so...
