There is a saying of “go big or go home”. My husband uses it a lot when we are doing a project at our house. “The bigger, the better” is his motto. In a similar way, I once heard a particular pastor say “go big and go bold”.
While going bigger isn’t always necessarily the right thing to do in every aspect of life, it can be when following the Lord, as long as what we are doing is in His will. Projects are just projects if they are not led by the Father, but if He is in the lead, He can work wonders.
You may think you’re not a bold person, but you can be.
And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31
Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance. Acts 28:21
God wants us to share His love with those around us, to those who are hurting, to a dying world. He wants us to be bold, to be different from the world, to stand out. When we step out there, he will give us what we need.
Father, please give me boldness when I have none of my own. I ask for a special anointing of your Spirit today. Like the old hymn said: “Fill with Thy Spirit till all shall see Christ only, always, living in me.”
