If it can’t wash others, how will it wash you?
One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God’s call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her heart was evident.
As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.
It was not very long until this faithful young woman caught the eye and heart of the pastor’s son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.
This is when the problems began. About half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor’s son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter.
So they decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting got completely out of hand.
The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.
As she began to cry, the pastor’s son stood to speak.
He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife-to-be. He began to speak.
“My fiancée’s past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does His blood wash away sin or not?”
People throughout the church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.
Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely, then it cannot cleanse us completely.
“So likewise shall My Father do also to you, if you from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.” Matthew 18:35

He who is without sin…..let them cast the first stone…..
When there is true love, there cannot be wrong. For us to judge or decide anything about someone else is to move away from love into a subtle sort of violence against another. And ultimately, this is a subtle turning against ourselves, creation, all that is light, love and happiness. The kingdom of God is in our hearts. The rest is small, and often, rotten potatoes! But even those are good for compost.
wow, this story has built up my heart!!!
I am encouraged, challenged and blessed by the message. God bless Allworship.
This is a real test case for us as a Christians. Are we doubting the efficacy of the Blood? Jesus said who the Son shall set free is free indeed. Why are we judging who God has forgiven. The same way we are judging others will be used in judging us. Let us be careful as believers.
I pray that God heals Mr. Drakes heart and his mind. I feel sorry for people who say the love Jesus and are so fixed on our past that they can’t see that our debt has been paid in full by the blood of Jesus. That happen to me, I lost people who I thought was my friends in the Lord that were not. But, I continue to pray for them. That God will heal their hearts and they will remember that the same blood that wash them washed me too! My story had a very rocky road but My God seen us through it and we too have a happy ending. If you haven’t start praying for those who was against you and your husband I would suggest that you begin to pray for them because Jesus knowing what Peter and Judas was about to do to him he continued in the love. Father in the Name of Jesus we lift up every man and woman who shared their happiness with church folks and they did not celebrate what God has brought together but was ready to judge and we ask you to forgive them and we forgive them and we ask you to heal every heart that was hurt and every family that was enjuried and every Christian that was enjuried because of this. In Jesus Name ……..Be encourage my God can do all things but fell so we stand in agreement with you concerning your husband healing Mrs. Drake just continue to be faithful to God and watch this will work out for you and your husbands good. Miracles, Signs, and Wonders I send your way. May God strengthen and keep you all.
What a great message!
its really touch me. very beautiful and strong message. our past is just our past and its nothing to do with our present as we are become new person in Jesus. Remember the lady who a been stone, and Lord Jesus said who among you never sin ,and let him be the first to throw ..i pray these people will be able to repent.
Mr. & Mrs. Drake, you both are brave & faithful in The Name of Christ. You two have found love and that church is going through a test of their belief. The enemy has seen his opportunity to step his way into the minds of the nembers of that individual church AND has used this opportunity to take advantage of Mr. Drake.
Just as Jesus offered the ones wanting to stone Mary for committing adultery with the one who has not sinned cast the first stone, so the same be to those in that church.
Anyone denying they have no business to be the first to throw, is the same as saying they are better than or the same as Jesus himself, not needing him.
He came for the sinners. He came for us. None of us can be perfect without sin.
You two have now given the world a test of faith in our belief about Jesus & who he was AND IS here for.
Love to you two

Awsome reminder I didn’t even see it that way, Glory to God
This message is TRUTH! Too long, we as the church, have kept this LOG in our own eye and not allowed the tears of love and forgiveness wash us COMPLETELY. It may be a rude awakening to come before the face of grace to find out what we may have neglected…IT IS the very thing Jesus Christ laid down HIS LIFE for us to RECEIVE and in return GIVE it to others. LET US REPENT AND MAKE AMENDS..AS IT IS WRITTEN…….LEAVE YOUR GIFT ON THE ALTER, FIND YOUR BROTHER/SISTER MAKE AMENDS….THEN GO TO THE ALTER WITH A PURE OFFERING. THE CROSS WAS NOT A LIGHT THING IT IS OUR TREASURE!
Wow! What an awesome message. Sadly that young woman was “me” and the Pastor’s son, was the Pastor’s assistant but that is where the similarity of experience ends.
The entire church ganged up against me including the Pastor. On the day of our wedding – 18 years ago now, I used to an still do run a Christian Schooling establishment. Many of my parents and students were invited to the wedding. The Pastor said some things that were absolutely shocking to me. It was only the grace of God that got me through. After that the Pastor and the entire congregation turned against us. The story is too long and morbid to go into in any more depth. We left the church. I believe it has marred my husband’s Christian experiencing who is now struggling after having back slidden for MANY years. The Pastor died unexpectedly 5 years later. It is also terrible what unforgiveness can bring about in people’s lives. Please pray for my husband Edgar Drake who now suffers from a serious mental condition and has great difficulty getting near to God again. Thank you.
Thats a horrible thing to happen but it does happen…i had the same experience but mine hadn’t a happy end…it is only by Gods mercy and love we can stand..God bless us all!
