A friend made a leather briefcase for me. It has my initials on it and is the perfect fit for the items I carry around. I’m quite proud of it.
But what if I used that briefcase as a trash can? Crazy, right?
It would not only be poor use of a nice leather briefcase; it would also be insulting to my friend who so carefully and meticulously created it for a higher use.
Scripture reminds us of an amazing truth: Our bodies are created to be the temples of the Living God.
If you are a Christian, God the Holy Spirit lives within you.
Are you taking care of your body? Are you filling it with garbage and neglecting it, or are you eating healthy and exercising.
Take care of your body. It was created for a higher purpose: to glorify God.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
