As a minister was addressing a group of men, he took a large piece of paper and made a black spot in the center of it with a marking pen. Then he held up the paper before the group and asked them what they saw.
One person quickly replied, “I see a black mark.”
“Right,” the preacher replied, “what else do you see?”
Complete silence prevailed.
“Don’t you see anything other than the black spot?” he asked.
A chorus of “no” came from the audience.
“I’m surprised”, the speaker commented. “You have overlooked the most important thing of all: the sheet of white paper.”
In life, we are often distracted by our disappointments and trials. We forget the innumerable blessings we receive from the Lord.
But, like the sheet of paper, the good things in life are sometimes overwhelmed by the adversities that monopolize our attention.
Rather than concentrating on the little trials of life, we should fix our attention on the blessings God gives us.
So overwhelming are his faithfulness. Even when we blow out of proportion our little trials, he still remains faithful.
AMEN! We are focus on the every day things. We need to focus more on The Almighty and His Son and leave the rest to Him. Thank You for that Refreshing reminder of our CREATURE!
We worry a lot simply because we misplace priority.putting things before GOD.
Great is the mystery of God’s faithfulness to His people, we need to count our blessings and not our losses. Although we are compassed about with untold predicaments and vicissitudes of life, that should not becloud our eyes from seeing what God has done, we should endeavor to look back in gratitude and look forward in appreciating what God has in store for His people.
It is amazing. I learn a lot from the wisdom.
Israel.
Count your blessing name them one by one.
How true is this story. I sometimes miss the beauty of God’s blessing by fixing my eyes on what is going wrong in my life. God is good all the time, all the time God is good!
The blessings of God it maketh rich and adds no sorrow with it.
