When you hear someone talking about Christmas music, what song first comes to mind? Silent Night jumps out at me but there are so many good songs that help us celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Here are just a few: Joy to the World, O Holy Night, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, O Come, All Ye Faithful, Away in a Manger, etc.
Since Christmas is one of the two biggest holidays in the Christian calendar, it is right to worship Emmanuel, God is with us. How many of our favorite songs include a part of the story told in Luke 2:
The angel said, “Don’t be afraid! Look! I bring good news to you—wonderful, joyous news for all people. Your savior is born today in David’s city. He is Christ the Lord. This is a sign for you: you will find a newborn baby wrapped snugly and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great assembly of the heavenly forces was with the angel praising God. They said, “Glory to God in heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors.”
And even though we have the Biblical account surrounding Jesus’ birth, that’s only a tiny portion of the full story. We have so much to be thankful for and to worship God for.
We pray that you enjoy listening to the Christmas Worship stream from AllWorship. No Santa, No Grinch, No Rudolph…just ALL worship to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Merry Christmas.
